Speechmark overview

Speechmark is a macOS meeting-memory app that records straight from system audio (no bot joins the call), then transcribes and diarizes fully on-device. Unlike most tools, it keeps the original audio — so you can replay and verify exact wording. Summarize locally with Apple Intelligence or Ollama, or bring your own Claude/OpenAI/Gemini key (transcript text only). A Claude Desktop MCP connector lets you ask questions across your meeting history while everything stays on your Mac.

What's new in version 0.2.3

Speechmark 0.2.3 — better mid-meeting reliability and a refreshed recording view.

No more first-recording crash. Starting your very first recording could occasionally crash the app on a cold microphone. That’s fixed.
Switch mics mid-meeting. Recording now follows your active input device — plug in headphones or swap to AirPods partway through and Speechmark keeps going without losing audio. A banner lets you know when the device changed, and you can dismiss it.
Snappier live transcript. The transcript now keeps up in real time even during long or busy meetings.
Refreshed recording view. A new dual-channel waveform — your mic on top, system audio below — and a cleaner, more compact header while your notes are being generated.
